Visitors and Volunteers

Visitors and volunteers must visit the school office, sign in and collect a 'Visitors' or 'Helpers' badge.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Parents/Carers who wish to visit their child's classroom or elsewhere in the school grounds

Parents/Carers collecting or dropping off children or their belongings during school hours

Any person involved in delivering professional development at the school

Any person accessing the school grounds within the gated perimeter

All volunteers must have completed the Child Protection Briefing for Volunteers and signed the appropriate form within the last two years should they wish to assist with excursions, reading groups, canteen, gross motor, library, sports activities, carnivals or any activity where they will be working with students. We are conscious of the inconvenience this may cause to some parents but ask for your understanding that these procedures are required by legislation and have been implemented for the safety and protection of all children at St Bernadette's.

If it has been more than two years since you last attended a Briefing, please visit the office and collect the update package. When finished, return the completed package with your signed form to the Office.

Note: If you are a new parent, or have never attended a Briefing session before at St Bernadette's School, and you wish to volunteer you must attend a Briefing Session. Briefing Sessions are held twice a year [in February and August] in the morning, afternoon and evening for your convenience. They are usually held in the Library at 8:50am, 3:00pm and 6:45pm - but please watch the newsletter for exact date, time and location.
