Religious Education
Religious
Education
Classroom-based
programs provide a systematic and comprehensive form of religious
education. They foster an understanding of the teachings of the
Gospel, the nature of Christianity and the way Catholics are called
to live their lives within the Catholic tradition (Sharing our
Story: Core Document)
St. Bernadette's uses the Parramatta Diocesan Religious Education Curriculum,
Sharing Our Story. In addition, the school engages in a range
of prayer and liturgical experiences to allow students to deepen
and express their faith.
St. Bernadette's supports the Parish in its Sacramental Programs for students
preparing for and celebrating the sacraments of Reconciliation,
Confirmation and First Communion. It highly values the strong relationship
it has with the wider parish community, particularly with Parish
Priest, Fr. John Boyle.
The
Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta website provides more information
about the Religious Education Curriculum.
